TIME Magazine has two interesting articles on Eclipse . One is about Summit trying to lure in guys, and the second is a Q&A session with Wyck Godfrey, the producer of the Twilight movies. TWILIGHT SEQUEL AIMS FOR A NEW AUDIENCE: GUYS It was November 2008, the first movie of the Twilight series was on its way to a massive $409 million in box office revenue and David Slade was displeased. The indie director of 30 Days of Night and Hard Candy was not a fan of the movie, based on Stephenie Meyer's best-selling young-adult book series, and voiced his opinion of the teen vampire romance in a tweet: " 'Twilight' drunk? No, not even drunk. 'Twilight' on acid? No, not even on acid. 'Twilight' at gunpoint? Just shoot me.' "  It was a snarky comment that could have easily been lost in the ether — had Slade not been tapped to direct the third film in the franchise, this summer's The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Rotten Tomatoes has a write-up on the possibility that Eclipse will overtake (in more ways than one) the first two in the saga. Currently, the Tomatometer stands at 49% ( ROTTEN ). This Summer movie season has had its share of successes - Iron Man 2, Toy Story 3, and even surprise hit The Karate Kid have all fared well at the box office, but movie fans have known that the return of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series had to be included in their predictions of the Summer's biggest hits at box office. With fan and critic screenings taking place long before the movie's release this week, the players involved in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse are not only up against an army of newborn vampires, but the expectations of a Summer box office that has lagged on finding enormous blockbusters, along with the unshakable expectations of fans (who we'll admit will end up seeing the movie anyway) who are already lining up to see the movie with a level of commitment that puts Black Friday

The Eclipse tour continues in Sweden!

The Eclipse premiere is a few days away, and Twilighters in the States are already camping out to get a glimpse of Rob, Kristen, Taylor, and the entire cast come premiere night.

The Eclipse soundtrack is now available in stores nationwide, and I got my copy a few days ago. Compared to the New Moon soundtrack, I like this one better. The songs in this soundtrack felt more connected on each other. My personal favs include Sia's " My Love ", The Bravery's " Ours " and Fanfarlo's " Atlas ". Some songs are reminiscent of the New Moon soundtrack, except that the tone and molod is different. For example, My Love is almost like Anya Marina's Satellite Heart , but Love more romantic and less sleepy-ish sounding. The trend of featuring indie bands alongside well-known artists continues in this soundtrack, just like the Twilight and New Moon soundtrack. All in all, a great soundtrack to relax with, to jam with, or to take a drive with. The Eclipse promotional tour continues as Kristen and Taylor (again, sans Rob) drops by Berlin, Germany.

Parade Magazine interviewed Rob, Taylor, and Kristen for an upcoming issue. They discuss mostly about Eclipse . Kristen Stewart told Parade.com's Jeanne Wolf that, just like her character, she's grown a lot since Twilight first became a cultural phenomenon. But some things haven't changed.

Not sure where some of you got the impression I intended to leave birth scene out of Breaking Dawn, but it's inaccurate. Of course the birth scene will be in there! And the sex scenes! And the feathers! And the blood! Perhaps you misinterpreted what I said about not needing to see BUCKETS of blood in order to convey the terror of the birth scene. Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, and Robert Pattinson chat about  Breaking Dawn  at the LA Twilight Convention today (June 13th). Taylor says, “ Don’t you sleep with her! ” (regarding Kristen) and Rob responds, “ I just love baby! ” Rob admitted to the crowd that he’s been awake too long and is in a very strange mood and can’t answer questions well. The news is finally here! Summit has officially announced that Breaking Dawn , the final chapter in the Twilight saga, will be separated into TWO separate films. Los Angeles, CA, June 10, 2010 – Summit Entertainment confirmed today that THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN will be released as two separate films with the first of the two slated to be released in theatres on November 18, 2011. Academy Award® winner Bill Condon will direct both films starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner along with Billy Burke as Charlie Swan as well as returning members of the Cullen Family including Peter Facinelli as Carlisle, Elizabeth Reaser as Esme, Jackson Rathbone as Jasper, Nikki Reed as Rosalie, Ashley Greene as Alice and Kellan Lutz as Emmett.
