EXCLUSIVE: Interview with Hurricane Bells

I got a chance to get an exclusive interview with Hurricane Bells (Steve Schiltz), who contributed the awesomely awesome track on the New Moon soundtrack, "Monsters". How did you come up with the name Hurricane Bells? I was playing around with names and googling them one night on the internet, and I discovered that hurricane bells were these heavy stone bells that were used to warn people by the sea of an oncoming storm. nobody had used the name for anything I could see, and i thought the image was perfect. so I took it... What genre does your music fall in? Good music. Are your music limited only to the US, or will you expand worldwide? Right now we have had to rush to get the Hurricane Bells record out, faster than we'd planned, due to the Twilight movie. but we are figuring out how the record will be available in other countries, now. Thanks for being patient! "Monsters" is one of my favorite tracks from the New Moon soundtrack. How did the song come about? Is it i…

5 Awesome Facts about Eclipse

Rotten Tomatoes gives 5 facts about Eclipse.

Fact #1: It's Darker

The brand new poster for Eclipse (above) hints at a darker tone with its brooding storm clouds. With 30 Days of Night director David Slade at the helm, it's unsurprising. "Every movie is different because we work with a different director on each one, which I love," Taylor Lautner tells RT. "David Slade is perfect for the third film because it's darker. Eclipse was my favourite book."

Ashley Greene, who plays vampire Alice, tells RT that Slade isn't just a prince of darkness. "David is actually hysterical," she laughs, "He has such a dry sense of humour that sometimes you don't know if he's kidding or not. Eclipse will be amazing because he has made it far edgier and more dramatic. It's going to look very cool."

Fact #2: There Will Be Less "Love Story" and More "War"

"Eclipse isn't as intimate as Twilight or New Moon," Rober…

Taylor Lautner Rolling Stone interview.

Don't you think that when some fans see New Moon, they may be disappointed, because you're kind of the villain in a way. I have some pretty passionate team Jacob fans [laughs].

Right. But you're also the obstacle getting in the way of the great romance between Bella and Edward. I can see where you're coming from. The thing is, Jacob and Edward are two completely different guys. They are opposites. And it's just what kind of girl you are. If you like that more mysterious, dangerous type, then that's one guy. I personally love Jacob and Bella's relationship, and how they began as friends. They are so much more open, and can tell each other anything. And Bella and Edward's relationship, it's always tense. It's always serious. But Jacob and Bella's friendship starts growing stronger and stronger and you just wonder if they can go past friends. It looks like that at some points.

But when your character hangs up on Edward inNew Moon, it sets off the w…

TIME Q&A with Robert Pattinson

Robert Pattinson was recently interviewed by TIME Magazine. That's just so awesome in my books. You took on an edgy vampire movie and it's become this. Did you know what you were signing up for? I had no idea it was going to be like this. I really had no idea until ... I guess I still don't. The time that it hit me really was when we were shooting in Italy and the emotional reaction — it wasn't just screaming. It was like people were so intently listening and watching. After every take there was polite applause. And it wasn't hysteria. It was literally devotion to the characters. It was amazing. I haven't felt that in any other situation. Casting Edward was crucial to the franchise. What did Catherine Hardwicke see in you? I don't know. I was a little intimidated by Kristen [Stewart] in my audition. So I played it like a guy who is beating himself up a lot about everything. I don't think anyone else did it like that. I think they concentrated on the confid…

New Moon breaks another box office record

Another record broken! "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" took in $72.7 million in its first day to break the single day domestic box office record!! The record was previously held by "The Dark Knight," which had a $67.2 million opening day last year. The Friday haul for the "Twilight" sequel includes a record $26.3 million from midnight screenings alone. If "New Moon" maintains its pace, it might have a shot at the all-time best opening weekend record of $158.4 million, also held by "The Dark Knight." New Moon has already broken the midnight box office record with a haul of USD$26.27 mil. New Moon breaks midnight box office record, beats The Dark Knight!!

Holy crow!! It's official: New Moon has smashed the midnight box office record. The Dark Knight went on to take in $67.17M that opening day, dropped 29.1% from Friday to Saturday to bring in another $47.65M, and ended with $43.6M on Sunday for an opening weekend total of $158.4M. The Vatican: New Moon is a Moral Vacuum

Well, you know those negative reviews should come around soon enough. The Vatican has given their review of New Moon. The Vatican has blasted New Moon, calling it "deviant" and a "moral vacuum". The Twilight sequel, which hits cinemas this weekend, has been criticised by the governing body of the Roman Catholic Church for its supernatural references. "This theme of vampires in Twilight combines a mixture of excesses that, as ever is aimed at young people and gives a heavy esoteric element," complained the Vatican's culture council leader, Monsignor Franco Perazzolo. He added, "This film is nothing more than a moral vacuum with a deviant message and as such should be of concern." The Vatican's stance comes as something of a surprise as they have softened their stance on certain blockbusters recently - approving the most recent Harry Potter film and calling the sequel to The Da Vinci Code "harmless entertainment". On another note, Rott…

Stephenie Meyer answer fan questions

Stephenie Meyer has graciously answered questions submitted by fans to

These are some of them.

What was your favorite thing about Chris Weitz and how was his interpretation of the books different from Catherine Hardwicke? - Mira N.

My favorite thing about Chris Weitz: everything. Sounds hyperbole-ish, but he's really that amazing. If you follow along on some of the cast interviews you'll hear the same thing over and over. We all adore Chris. I would have to say that my very favorite thing about Chris as a director, coming from my unique position, is his passion for being true to the source material. He really immersed himself in the Twilight world and came to the set with the feel of it already in his head. We were very much on the same page. Second thing, he listens really well—to everybody, cast and crew.

In comparing New Moon to Twilight, I would say that the biggest difference in style is that Chris is more classic while Catherine is a little more edgy an…

New Moon malware warning

Looks like even malware developers are getting on the Twilight action. According to PC Tools ( fans searching for more information about her and the movie will come across a site promising an online interview.
