I got a chance to get an exclusive interview with Hurricane Bells (Steve Schiltz), who contributed the awesomely awesome track on the New Moon soundtrack, " Monsters ". How did you come up with the name Hurricane Bells? I was playing around with names and googling them one night on the internet, and I discovered that hurricane bells were these heavy stone bells that were used to warn people by the sea of an oncoming storm. nobody had used the name for anything I could see, and i thought the image was perfect. so I took it... What genre does your music fall in? Good music. Are your music limited only to the US, or will you expand worldwide? Right now we have had to rush to get the Hurricane Bells record out, faster than we'd planned, due to the Twilight movie. but we are figuring out how the record will be available in other countries, now. Taylor Lautner  will host Saturday Night Live along with musical guest Bon Jovi on Dec. 12, according to  EW .

The 22-year-old  Twilight  actress  dished  in the mag about how excited she was when she learned she had landed the role of Alice Cullen. Ashley  shared, “Oh, my God, I wanted this part so badly! New Moon brings in more money! For its opening weekend, New Moon rakes in USD$141 million. So far, it has beaten two ' The Dark Knight ' records, but not this one. It ranks third in the list of best opening weekend of all time. The film also performed well internationally, grabbing another $118.1 million, for a total worldwide debut of $258.8 million. Another record broken! "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" took in $72.7 million in its first day to break the single day domestic box office record!! The record was previously held by "The Dark Knight," which had a $67.2 million opening day last year. The Friday haul for the "Twilight" sequel includes a record $26.3 million from midnight screenings alone. If "New Moon" maintains its pace, it might have a shot at the all-time best opening weekend record of $158.4 million, also held by "The Dark Knight." New Moon has already broken the midnight box office record with a haul of USD$26.27 mil. Summit has announced that The Twilight Saga: New Moon has officially set a new all-time midnight box office record, taking in $26.27M from 3514 theaters. This shatters The Dark Knight's $18.4M midnight debut for a 3-day weekend. It also easily surpasses the all-time record for midnight showings which was held by Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, which took in $22.2M on a Tuesday night on its way to a 5-day weekend total of $158M. The Dark Knight went on to take in $67.17M that opening day, dropped 29.1% from Friday to Saturday to bring in another $47.65M, and ended with $43.6M on Sunday for an opening weekend total of $158.4M. Well, you know those negative reviews should come around soon enough. The Vatican has given their review of New Moon . The Vatican has blasted New Moon, calling it "deviant" and a "moral vacuum". The Twilight sequel, which hits cinemas this weekend, has been criticised by the governing body of the Roman Catholic Church for its supernatural references. "This theme of vampires in Twilight combines a mixture of excesses that, as ever is aimed at young people and gives a heavy esoteric element," complained the Vatican's culture council leader, Monsignor Franco Perazzolo. He added, "This film is nothing more than a moral vacuum with a deviant message and as such should be of concern." Ashley Greene  ruffles up a screening of  The Twilight Saga: New Moon  held at Landmark’s Sunshine Cinema in NYC on Thursday evening (November 19). At the premiere, the 22-year-old actress dished to  MTV  about seeing the finished product. Ashley  shared, “I love it. I think it’s so great. I think  Chris Weitz  just does a fantastic job. You know, it’s a completely different tone and a completely different story, and I think he did a really good job of giving us a transition into the next one.” After the movie,  Ashley  and the  New Moon  cast partied at The Box nightclub.

Deadline Hollywood reports: On Wednesday, NEW MOON launched No. 1 in France with 488,000 admissions for its first day from 751 resulting with $4.36M on Day One -- which is 4 times what TWILIGHT did (140,960 admissions and gross $1.15M). From Fandango : New Moon opens at midnight one week from tonight, but the film has already outsold its predecessor, Twilight, in total advance ticket sales on Fandango, the nation's leading movie ticketing destination. The new movie currently represents 75% of the site's ticket sales. Although thousands of next Thursday night's midnight showtimes are sold-out across the country (from Anchorage, Alaska to Winter Park, Florida), tickets are still available, while new showtimes are added regularly to keep up with the demand.
