Lainey Gossip reports: Sunday he and his dad hooked up for a friendly lunch with a girl he used to work with back in the Nickelodeon days. [The girl Taylor is with is Victoria Justice who is a rising star on the Nickelodean network who is in Vancouver shooting the title role for a new Nick oroginal TV movie thriller.]Vancouver is a major production hotspot right now! The girl was accompanied by her mother who is also her publicist. Needless to say, mom/publicist was hoping she could hitch a ride onto Taylor who now, as you know, has earned a very high profile.  As for what’s happening on set of New Moon today – continuing to shoot break up and Bella losing it and some scenes with Bella and Jacob in her room. Tomorrow, it’s a movie theatre and an Edward apparition and a motorcycle or something.

Pattinson, 22, who stars in the independent film How To Be, almost decided to change his career focus, the film's director tells PEOPLE.  "He was thinking about giving up acting and maybe doing music solely when this role [in How To Be] came along," the film's director, Oliver Irving, tells PEOPLE. "He wanted to play the roles he wasn't getting."  Irving says that for Pattinson, being cast as the lead of role of an awkward, quirky young musician who hires a self-help guru to come live with him "got him back into the swing of things again." Irving adds that after the Harry Potter films, in which Pattinson played Cedric Diggory, "He was looking for something more challenging."  Check out the article over at People .

Access Hollywood has a new video of an interview with Peter Facinelli. He talks about New Moon , and Taylor Lautner. Peter also has a short interview with People , where he talks about night shoots. "I love night shoots. Everybody else is [tired] by like two, three in the morning, which is weird because I'm the old guy!" Facinelli tells PEOPLE at the Los Angeles premiere of Ghosts of Girlfriends Past on Monday night.  "They should be the ones that should be like party hardy all night long," jokes the 35-year-old of his young costars including Robert Pattinson, 22, Kristen Stewart, 19, and 17-year-old Taylor Lautner. "At five in the morning I was like, 'I could go another 10 hours!' And they were like, 'Crash!' "

Rob says that his father asked him to pursue acting in hopes of helping him pick up women! He may never have been an actor at all, had his dad not pushed him to try his hand at London’s Barnes Theater Company, so he could hang out with girls: "(My dad) saw a bunch of pretty girls who were going to it. E! has an interview with the screenwriter for Twilight and New Moon , Melissa Rosenberg. She explains a little bit about New Moon, and about Breaking Dawn being turned into a movie. Even though Edward Cullen may not be in the New Moon novel as much as he is in the others, she promised we’ll be seeing plenty of the Brit actor in the flick, which is currently shooting in Vancouver with director Chris Weitz. “In the book, he’s actually an enormous presence in [Bella’s] mind,” Rosenberg said. “He’s so present in her mind throughout the entire center of the book, so we really played off that, and it kept him alive in a slightly different way, but fans will feel it’s true to the book. You can’t have a Twilight without Rob Pattinson.” And Rosenberg says you also can’t have a Twilight movie with anything more adult than a PG-13 rating. Lainey Gossip reports: Robert Pattinson slipped away from Vancouver this weekend for a quick break to LA. Returned back on Sunday night to continue working on New Moon. A few bedroom dream sequences are happening early this week. Then an interesting shoot later on. More details in the coming days. As for his time in Los Angeles – he stayed relatively uncover, perhaps popping in to see a friend or two. Nikki Reed is his friend. Nikki’s in LA too. Here she is on a dog walk with friend Sage on Friday. At press time, no sign of Nikki on Saturday or Sunday.  Back to Rob - soon as he arrived back in Vancouver, he hooked up with Ashley Greene and Rachelle Lefevre at a pub for a few drinks to unwind.

Lainey Gossip spotted Kristen hanging out with boyfriend Michael Arangano. Well… she was definitely holding someone’s hand this weekend: her boyfriend’s. His name is Michael Arangano. And as I reported last week, Summit was not happy with Kristen when she was photographed with Michael in Vancouver a few weeks ago. The studio wants to encourage speculation [re: Kristen and Rob] to keep the twi-freaks happy even though there is nothing going on between the two co-stars and the rumours of a split from Michael are baseless. But Kristen, as evidenced by the incident with the pipe on her front steps, has, if nothing else, asserted that she’s not some cookie cutter Disney pawn.  Which is why Michael is back in town, seen with Kristen on Saturday. Looks like Kristen is breaking the rules. Good.  But she got caught.  They went for sushi, she playfully hopped on his back, then when she realised she was being papped, she quickly jumped off. Kellan Lutz was in Australia to attend the launch of the Twilight DVD. The New Moon heartthrob took time out from his professional obligations on Saturday to attend a birthday party for Dave Simon, bassist for Australian power-pop quartet Violet at a Sydney club called, appropriately enough, The Club. While helping Simon ring in the occasion, Lutz hung out with twin sisters Lisa and Jessica Origliasso of "Take Me on the Floor" hitmakers the Veronicas, as well as Laura Dundovic—perhaps more popularly known as Miss Universe Australia for 2008. And he certainly didn't seem to mind getting up close and personal with the ladies.

Apparently, it's already confirmed that Alexandre Desplat will be composing the score for New Moon . I posted about this earlier on, but it's just a statement by Carter Burwell. This came from Upcoming Film Scores : New Moon, the upcoming sequel to last year's massive hit Twilight, gets an original score by French composer Alexandre Desplat. The assignment of the Curious Case of Benjamin Button composer has been confirmed to Upcoming Film Scores by Desplat's manager. This means that Carter Burwell, whose 'Bella's Lullaby' became an immediate success with Twilight fans, does not return to the sequel. The reason is that New Moon director Chris Weitz already has an ongoing working relationship with Desplat who scored his fantasy epic The Golden Compass. Desplat's other previous films include The Queen, Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium and Lust, Caution. The Twilight Saga: New Moon will hit theatres on November 20. No official statement from Summit

Celebuzz reports: Taylor Lautner is breaking a sweat even when he's not lifting weights on set. The New Moon werewolf was spotted posing with a few fans before running to his vehicle as he left his Vancouver hotel this morning.  The sequel to Twilight is being filmed in Vancouver, and it seems like die-hard fans have a close eye on the cast's whereabouts at all times.

Kellan Lutz has a new movie coming up. Like lambs to the slaughter, "Twilight" actor Kellan Lutz, "Terminator" TV show star Thomas Dekker and Rooney Mara have joined the cast of New Line's re-imagined "A Nightmare on Elm Street," being directed by Samuel Bayer and produced by Platinum Dunes. Lutz, who is in negotiations, would play a popular school jock.  Dekker is an alpha male trying to get back together with his girlfriend. Mara plays a girl who can't wait to leave town after graduation.  Those young dreams will prove to be dust as the duo join Kyle Gallner, in the role played by Johnny Depp in the 1984 pic, as fodder for slasher Freddy Krueger, being played by Jackie Early Haley.  "Nightmare" is slated to begin shooting May 5 in Chicago.  Meanwhile, Rob is starring in another Summit production. The Independent has a new interview with Rob. For his brooding portrayal of Cullen, Pattinson was suddenly hailed as the new James Dean, a risky mantle for any young male actor to inherit (particularly if they're from England). Not that he's done little to dispel this after admitting that he aped the Giant star's vocal patterns to play the part. "Everyone loves a bit of James Dean," he told one reporter, explaining he used the same trick for "chatting up girls". Both worked yesterday.  Where: in the forest. MTV interviewed Henry Cavill recently. FYI, Henry is Stephenie Meyer's initial choice to play Edward. Robert Pattinson says it feels “surprisingly natural” to be back in character as “Edward Cullen.” “I’m not stressed at all on this job, so it’s kind of a nice feeling. Since the film was a success so you get a little more free reign and people are more trusting.” He goes on to assure fans that they will get plenty of Edward Cullen in the film, even though his character in the book is largely absent from the story. “It’s as close as possible to the book,” he says. “(In the film) it’s an illusion when he appears. Jackson Rathbone is featured in Nylon Magazine , sporting a new hairdo. Rathbone started acting in high school when he attended Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan, and moved from set and lighting design to a spot in front of the curtain.  "When I started being onstage, I fell in love with it," he says.  Although he is now best known as Jasper Hale in Twilight, and is currently filming M. Night Shyamalan's The Last Airbender, what Rathbone seems most excited to talk about right now is his band, 100 Monkeys.   His bandmates are old friends and actors as well, and he shares a house in Hollywood with two of them.  "We call it the Monkey House," he jokes.  "We all play all the instruments," he adds.  "We call it the Monkey Switcharoo." The Twilight sequel is filming now, and between takes, the actors usually are working out with barbells, doing push-ups or chowing down on steak, Weitz says. Oh noes! So soon? WorstPreviews reports: Summit Entertainment is looking to complete its "Twilight" film series sooner rather than later. With "New Moon" now filming in Vancouver and its sequel "Eclipse" already deep in the planning stages, an individual close to the production revealed that work on the fourth and final film in the series, "Breaking Dawn," will start in late Spring 2010. The franchise is trying to avoid the "Harry Potter" films, which is why the second installment will be released in November, the third installment will be released in June of 2010, and the fourth installment will likely appear in theaters in November of 2011. Summit originally planned to stretch out the series through 2013.
