The mis-step caused Kellan Lutz to accidentally hit Jackson! He and Kellan Lutz were practicing a scene in the film in which Jasper is teaching Emmett how to battle newborn vampires, and an accidental punch from Kellan caught Jackson in the temple and ended up with him being sent to the hospital. "Kellan and I were going over our moves — we hadn't had any time to rehearse — and we were out in mud, so it was really slick and everything," Jackson recalled to MTV News. "He punched too low, and I didn't duck low enough. He caught me right in the temple, kind of knocked me for a loop. I didn't fall, but I was kind of out of it for the next couple takes." Dread is a horror film directed by Anthony DiBlasi and starring Jackson Rathbone, Shaun Evans and Hanne Steen, based on the short story of the same name by Clive Barker. The story was originally published in 1984 in volume two of Barker's Books of Blood short story collections. How do you think, the questions are all ‘New Moon’ focused so I’m going to get right into it, how do you think Rosalie in ‘New Moon’ is going to be different from Rosalie in ‘Twilight’? Are we going to see more of Rosalie’s other side? Nikki: The Cullens aren’t really in ‘New Moon’ as I’m sure you guys know because of the books and Chris Weitz making it very clear that we’re going to stick to the storyline. Jackson Rathbone said that New Moon will not feature much of the Cullens, but a lot of Edward. When MTV News recently caught up with "New Moon" star Jackson Rathbone on the set of his new movie "Girlfriend," we had to ask how much we'd be seeing Jasper Hale in the second installment of the "Twilight" saga. "I only shot for three weeks, and out of those three weeks that I was [in Vancouver] I think I actually filmed four days," Jackson said. "So, I mean, I'm not so much in 'New Moon.' " Since Robert Pattinson's Edward Cullen departs early in the book, he is largely absent, and the rest of the Cullens aren't seen until the end of the story either. "It's one of those things where we want to follow as closely to the books as possible," Rathbone said. "In 'New Moon,' you don't see that much of the Cullens. You really don't. So there's not too much of us in there." ...

Jackson Rathbone gave some details on Jasper, and how his powers will be revealed on-screen. MTV: Are there training scenes in "Eclipse" along these lines? Rathbone: It's interesting; there's a lot of cool scenes where Jasper trains the Cullen family on how to fight the newborns. He gets to train Emmett — and Emmett is a born fighter — so he's telling Emmett all these techniques, and Emmett thinks he could just best Jasper [during their sparring]. Jasper ends up getting the best of him, because it's a war mentality, not just a street brawl. It's about thinking ahead; it's a chess game. MTV: Cool. Will we see the scene where Jasper gets bitten? Rathbone: Oh yeah, we have to see that. It's going to be great. I've been studying up a lot on the Civil War and that era. It really was a crazy time. Gabrielle Long has a new interview with Jackson Rathbone, where he talks about women. GC: In your opinion, what do men really notice about women? JR: The way she carries herself. Many times, my friends and I will notice a girl who is beautiful, but just looks miserable in her demeanor. It's a turn-off. Life's too short. GC: What is your ideal first date? JR: Well, I live with the band I'm in, 100 Monkeys ( 100monkeysmusic.com ), so I like to take a girl out to dinner alone, go for a walk and chat, and then come back to our "Monkey House" to see if she can hang with my friends/bandmates. Jackson Rathbone is featured in Nylon Magazine , sporting a new hairdo. Rathbone started acting in high school when he attended Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan, and moved from set and lighting design to a spot in front of the curtain.  "When I started being onstage, I fell in love with it," he says.  Although he is now best known as Jasper Hale in Twilight, and is currently filming M. Night Shyamalan's The Last Airbender, what Rathbone seems most excited to talk about right now is his band, 100 Monkeys.   His bandmates are old friends and actors as well, and he shares a house in Hollywood with two of them.  "We call it the Monkey House," he jokes.  "We all play all the instruments," he adds.  "We call it the Monkey Switcharoo." One of the pivotal scenes in New Moon is Bella's birthday, where Jasper attacks Bella. Fans are worried that Jasper will not be inconsistent with the Jasper from Twilight . So, Jackson Rathbone voiced out and defends New Moon . It all boils down to the fact that Jasper danced around the fire while Bella was bleeding heavily in Twilight but in New Moon he goes to attack Bella when she has a little papercut.  Jackson told The Examiner: "It's all in the old saying, 'Location, location, location.'
