At a recent Twilight convention, wolfpack member Alex Meraz reveals an on-set incident involving him and Kristen Stewart... "I decided, all right, the Wolf Pack stay up all night looking for who's killing people on the res, so we don't sleep very much. So I thought it would be a great idea if I stayed up for 10 days straight." What should have been a simple scene — a confrontation between Bella (Stewart) and the Wolf Pack — became, in Meraz's mind, his "Brando moment." Wanting to try something different, the actor played the scene overly aggressive: screaming, grabbing Stewart by the throat, hurtling his line at her. "[Director] Chris Weitz comes off-set like, 'Yeah, I like the energy Alex, but just take it down a little,' " Spencer chimed in: "Meanwhile the producers are freaking out back there." " 'Cause nobody touches Kristen Stewart," joked Meraz. via MTV

Yikes! E! reports that a fan verbally assulted New Moon newbie (and hottie) Alex Meraz! "Someone started yelling at me because they didn't like my character," Meraz told us last night at a Carrera Vintage Sunglasses party at the Chateau Marmont hotel. "I play a bad boy, so she got mad at me," he added. "She said, 'I hate you, Paul!' That was the craziest thing for me—being confused for a character." Meraz's response to the hater?... "I yelled back at her, 'I love you, too!'" he said. Charming, ain't he? Yet, he doen't think he is not up to par with Rob when it comes to being a sex symbol (Oh really? ;)) "Rob's just kind of soaking it up for everyone," Meraz said. "I'm happy to have just a smidgen of what he's got...I'm not worried about being a sex symbol."

"He smells like roses!" castmate Alex Meraz assured us at the Armani Exchange watch launch party last night. "The first time I met him, I was like, 'Dude, you smell fantastic!'" Alex continued.
