Twilight Official Guide has a release date!


The official Twilight guide, the one that has been floating around in limbo for a while, now has an official release date. 

Retitled The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide (which will include texts and illustrations by Young Kim) , it will be released on April 12, 2011, and it will be priced at US$24.99. According to the press release, there'll be about a hundred full-color photos and illustrations in the Guide.

Here's Stephenie Meyer's statement:

I’m always amazed at how many in-depth questions my readers have about my characters and the world within the Twilight Saga . . . With The Official Illustrated Guide, I hoped we could incorporate as many details as possible, including character histories, like Alice’s back story. I’m thrilled with the different artistic interpretations done by Young Kim and the other talented illustrators, including Bella’s wedding dress. I hope the fans feel it was worth the wait!

10 years after twilight , director Catherine Hardwicke opens up to The Daily Beast on new details on the film, some we've never known before. Ten years ago, the Twilight film franchise was an unknown quantity. In fact, Catherine Hardwicke, the director of the first Twilight, was surrounded by film executives who all but expected the vampire flick to fail. “Nobody thought this is a big, blockbuster franchise,” Hardwicke tells the Daily Beast. “There were very low expectations for Twilight, because every other studio had turned it down.
