New 'Breaking Dawn' Still Released

Summit released a new still from Breaking Dawn in the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly.

Forget about Team Edward or Jacob. "It's always been Bella's story," says director Bill Condon (Dreamgirls), who was tapped to oversee the final installments of the Twilight franchise (Part 2 is due in theaters in 2012). "She starts the first of these two movies as the Bella we know. But then the journey she takes ... it's just epic." Even if you don't know each plot twist and turn from the final book in Stephenie Meyer's best-selling series, every self-respecting Twihard is aware that Breaking Dawn features Bella (Kristen Stewart and Edward (Robert Pattinson) becoming vampire man and wife and sharing a marital bed for the first time. "Finally!" laughs Condon. "It is one of the most anticipated scenes, and I spent a tremendous amount of time thinking about it. You want to play with what people expect and maybe subvert it a little and surprise the,." And though the filmn is still in production in Louisiana, Condon says the cast and crew realize they're in the PG-13 saga's home stretch. "There's this bittersweet feeling that's already beginning," he says. "There's a real sense of wanting to go out on a high note." - Sara Vilkomerson
