Eclipse: What do you think?

I know you have your thoughts on Eclipse, so here's mine. Leave yours at the comment section, 'kay. Would love to hear what you think of it.

First, the plot. OK, so, obviously the movie is made for the fans of the novels, so continuity is a factor. Hence, they have to follow the book close to keep it in check. Fortunately, they manage to translate the movie well onto the screen. Pacing was good, though just like the novel, there are too many things going on, and some scenes just seem too short that you don't have to enjoy it. This time around, the characters are starting to evolve. For vampires, this should not occur, but then again, they're fiction. Some characters have major changes. Acting, as usual, ain't that awesomely perfect, but all the actors seem to suit their character perfectly. This is one trait I noticed since Twilight. As for score and soundtrack, I felt that for Eclipse, everything seems more indie and lively, like how Twilight was. Considering the tone of New Moon, Eclipse was better than New Moon. While New Moon is all about somber, sadness, and emotions, Eclipse is about romance, fights, and both of them mashed up. The score was nicely done, giving the movie a dark feel. Also outstanding is the cinematography for the movie, the sweeping scenes of Forks' mountainside, as well as the sunrise and sunset shots over mountains is very well done. Final props go to David Slade, the director of Eclipse. He did an extremely good job for this one. Props also to Stephenie Meyer, for creating an amazing story and a world we would all love to escape to.

Rating: 4.5/5
Consensus: Outshines previous movies in the saga. Makes great build-up for Breaking Dawn.

What about you?
