New Moon Casting News

Here's some new moon casting news. 
Dakota Fanning has confirmed the rumours that she IS indeed considered for the role of Jane in new moon. Here are reports from NBC, Access Hollywood, WorstPreviews, and IESB.
America Ferrera has also been rumoured to be up for another role in new moon. According to Celebuzz, the 24-year-old Ugly Betty actress has reportedly auditioned for the movie. Ferrera tried out for the part of Emily Young, fiancée to Sam Uley and second cousin to Leah Clearwater. Sorry, guys... Celebuzz updated the article, and apparently, it wasn't America Ferrera who auditioned... it was America Young...oops..
Of course, nothing is deemed official until any press release is done by Summit.

10 years after twilight , director Catherine Hardwicke opens up to The Daily Beast on new details on the film, some we've never known before. Ten years ago, the Twilight film franchise was an unknown quantity. In fact, Catherine Hardwicke, the director of the first Twilight, was surrounded by film executives who all but expected the vampire flick to fail. “Nobody thought this is a big, blockbuster franchise,” Hardwicke tells the Daily Beast. “There were very low expectations for Twilight, because every other studio had turned it down. They said, OK, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants was a very popular book for girls, and it made $39 million. That’s it.
