Official 'Breaking Dawn' Synopsis Released

Image
Summit released the official synopsis of Breaking Dawn: Parts 1 & 2 at the American Film Market (AFM), as well as a teaser poster. It's nothing new, really (at least, nothing we don't already know), but still worth posting, IMO. The poster is the book cover, but with a Summit logo at the foot of the poster. Hmm ... hope that can come up with a teaser like they did with Eclipse . In the highly anticipated next chapter of the blockbuster The Twilight Sage, the newfound married bliss of Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) is cut short when a series of betrayals and misfortunes threatens to destroy their world.  After their wedding, Bella and Edward travel to Rio de Janeiro for their honeymoon, where they finally give in to their passions. Bella soon discovers she is pregnant, and during a nearly fatal childbirth, Edward finally fulfills her wish to become immortal.  But the arrival of their remarkable daughter, Renesmee, sets in mot...

Zac Posen (Possible) Designer for Bella's Wedding Dress [UPDATED]

Image
Will this potentially be Bella's wedding dress? A while back, before Eclipse , InStyle featured wedding dresses for Bella by top designers. The one pictured is by Zac Posen. Now, reports have surfaced that Zac Posen will be designing Bella's wedding dress (for real!) for Breaking Dawn: Part I . ET Online is profiling top celebrity wedding designers and in the Portia de Rossi/Ellen DeGeneres wedding photo (Portia's dress was designed by Zac Posen), it's stated: "the designer is also reported to be making the wedding gown for the character of Bella Swan in the 'Twilight' films." The design above is a " pink gown (which) features a turn-of-the-century corset, bustle, full skirt, high-neck and dramatic detailed sleeves. Posen keeps to the vintage theme by finishing with lace-up boots. " Hmmm ... hopefully this ain't the final dress if he really does design the dress. Twifans via TwiExaminer . Breaking Dawn Heads to Rio de Janerio

President of the Rio Film Commission, Sergio Se Leitao, confirmed via Twitter   that Breaking Dawn production (assumed to be specifically for Isle Esme, not the entire production) is headed to Rio: Dawn will be shot in Rio in November. With full support of the Rio Film Commission. For security reasons I can not say when and where. The Mayor and Governor Eduardo Paes Cabral directly engaged to enable the filming of Dawn in the River Plate Gol! An estimated investment of U.S. $2 million into the economy of Rio seems all right to come and Dawn team is filmed here. Cannot say anything else. I count on your understanding. I think Rio is consolidating as a destination for international productions! All security measures will be taken to ensure a smooth shoot. The City Council and Gov. of the State will provide needed support. via Twicrack

Melissa Rosenberg talks even more on Breaking Dawn

As it nears production, more details about BD is emerging, thanks to screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg. She has one big responsibility, doesn't she? MTV caught up with her bat the recent Emmys to get some scoop. I n the midst of Emmy mania Sunday night (August 29) — Dresses! Nominees! Celeb couples! — which predictably revolved around the world of TV, pre-show viewers got a pleasant surprise as "Twilight" screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg made her way down a very long red carpet at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. Naturally, when MTV News caught up with the busy scribe, we had to press her for another update on the progress of the "Breaking Dawn" scripts. "They're coming along," Rosenberg said. "I just flew in last night from working with ['Dawn' director] Bill Condon, prepping the scripts. It's a lot of work, I'm exhausted," she added. Rosenberg also revealed that she's between 75 and 80 percent finished with the t...

Melissa Rosenberg gives Breaking Dawn details

Image
With Eclipse being a box-office success, focus has shifted to Breaking Dawn, the final movie in the saga. The director is set, the release date is confirmed, and the producer is chosen. The screenplay, however, still has some sketchy details. Not much has been revealed about it. A few interviews have been conducted with Melissa Rosenberg, the screenwriter for the Twilight movies, and little by little, she reveals some details about it.

Breaking Dawn filming location confirmed, R-rating not likely

Image
More news about Breaking Dawn ! Summit has officially announced the filming locations for the movie, as well as the speculation about a possible R-rating. Twilight film studio Summit Entertainment has just confirmed the official filming locations for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn to be in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Vancouver, British Columbia. The decision to use Louisiana as a new filming location for this portion of the Twilight series was one which many had been guessing at over the past few months, and now we know that this information is for sure. The studio's announcement also confirmed that filming for the project will begin this fall (another popular conjecture). The news does not specify which sequences will be filmed in which of the two locations, but one might guess (though this is not official) that most of the outdoor sequences would take place in Vancouver for the sake of continuity while some of the indoor sets could be done in Louisiana (and, potentially, some...

No Summer Date for 'Breaking Dawn' ... yet

Image
So we all know that Breaking Dawn: Part 1 will be released on 18th November 2011. What we do not know (for sure) yet is when Part 2 will premiere. MTV has an update on this. In June, Summit Entertainment announced that “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn” will be released as two separate films, with the first part arriving on November 18, 2011. Though no release date for the second part has been announced, the conventional wisdom has been that the second part would follow in the summer of 2012. Not so fast. Summit distribution chief Richie Fay told MTV News that no such decision has been made and that the studio is still exploring multiple release dates, not just ones in the summer. “We’ve targeted a number of dates, and we have yet to determine when it will happen,” Fay said. “We haven’t even determined that it will be the summer. It’s still the source of discussions.” Of course, studios always explore various release dates for pictures, especially established blockbusters, and th...

Melissa Rosenberg discusses Breaking Dawn

Image
On her Facebook page, Twilight screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg discusses a scene from Breaking Dawn . Hi y'all! Not sure where some of you got the impression I intended to leave birth scene out of Breaking Dawn, but it's inaccurate. Of course the birth scene will be in there! And the sex scenes! And the feathers! And the blood! Perhaps you misinterpreted what I said about not needing to see BUCKETS of blood in order to convey the terror of the birth scene. But rest easy all! xoxo Mel Hmm ...
