MTV Movie Awards 2009: Vote for Twilight!

For this year's Movie Awards 2009, MTV lets the fans choose the nominations.
Starting Monday (April 13), head over to the official Movie Awards site to select the nominees in categories like Best Movie, Best Fight and Best Kiss. You'll be able to pick from a list of more than 200 movies. Voting for this round will close on April 20.
On May 4, the official list of nominees will be announced. You can then start voting to choose the winners online or from your cell phone. This round of voting will close on May 18. But voting for Best Movie will stay open during the show itself, meaning whatever happens live onstage may affect which movie takes home that most coveted of Golden Popcorn statues.
Andy Samberg is hosting this year.
Twilight is among the nominees in these categories:
Best Movie: Twilight
Best Female Performance: Kristen Stewart
Best Male Performance: Robert Pattinson
Breakthrough Female Performance: Kristen Stewart (Dakota Fanning is also nominated for Push)
Breakthrough Male Performance: Both Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner are nominated
Best Villain: Cam Gigandent
Best Kiss: Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart
Best Fight: Robert Pattinson and Cam Gigandet

10 years after twilight , director Catherine Hardwicke opens up to The Daily Beast on new details on the film, some we've never known before. Ten years ago, the Twilight film franchise was an unknown quantity. In fact, Catherine Hardwicke, the director of the first Twilight, was surrounded by film executives who all but expected the vampire flick to fail. “Nobody thought this is a big, blockbuster franchise,” Hardwicke tells the Daily Beast. “There were very low expectations for Twilight, because every other studio had turned it down.
